Our Products and Services for Hospitals

Results Delivery

When your hospital is connected to LLHIE Network, results will be securely delivered through the Network directly into the practice electronic health record system without having to build point-to-point interfaces to each physician practice. Your hospital will be able to exchange laboratory and pathology results, radiology reports, admission face sheets, and other clinical information with your physicians, whether or not they have an electronic health record system today. Physician practices that still use paper charts will be able to automatically print results and reports from a secure PC inside the practice. Those reports and results can be stored on the PC, be easily recalled, and should significantly reduce call backs to your hospital for missing results in today’s faxing environment.

Electronic Orders

How often do your hospital’s employees need to call a physician office to clarify an ambulatory patient order, obtain missing information, or track down a missing order? The LLHIE Network can deliver scheduled (imaging/procedures) and unscheduled (laboratory) orders, depending upon your hospital’s workflows to your ambulatory admissions desk, directly to the department, or both. Orders can be placed directly from inside a practice electronic health record system where interfaced to the LLHIE Network or from an LLHIE Network application depending upon the preference of the clinic. In either case, you will receive a clean, easy-to-read order for hospital ambulatory services.

Care Transitions

Your hospital can use LLHIE Care Transitions to coordinate care with other healthcare providers for patients who are at risk for avoidable hospital readmissions. Care Transitions enables care coordinators to invite other providers to be a member of Patient Care Team and provides a single coherent view of:

  • Patient activities
  • Conditions
  • Alerts
  • Other clinical information

As part of a Patient Care Team, hospital care coordinators will see the patient data needed to manage a patient across the network in near real-time, reducing the risk for readmission. Your hospital can publish the services of your different departments to the community allowing healthcare providers, allowing them to request services efficiently and securely.

Visiting Specialist Programs

Is your hospital a critical access or rural hospital with an active Visiting Specialist Clinic? LLHIE is committed to providing products and services that will help you manage your Visiting Specialist Clinic effectively. From the delivery of laboratory and other results directly to the physician electronic health record system to improving transitions of care, the LLHIE Network can help you attract and retain high quality visiting specialists to your community by offering the efficient, effective, and reliable exchange of clinical information.

Privacy and Security

In today’s privacy and security environment, your hospital needs to know where and when personal health information (PHI) was exchanged with other healthcare providers. The LLHIE Network uses a secure asynchronous message protocol that is designed to “push” information securely over the Internet. These secure messages for orders, results, and referrals/transitions of care provide an auditable trail for communications of PHI from your hospital to other providers.
